In the opening episode, the literary club stands on the brink of dissolution unless three new members can be found before the deadline. Club president Shiori Sakura spots an opportunity when three students wander into the supposedly empty room and begins recruiting them with unexpected intensity. What starts as playful persuasion soon creates an atmosphere of tension and complicity that draws the group closer. First-year student Makoto Niijima arrives and signs on, still unaware of the club’s hidden undercurrents.
