Residents of the tranquil village Le-jeute are drawn toward the factory city by alluring promises of a better life. Among the workers who begin to organize against the ruthless owner Morlock is Eud, who flees the city and seeks shelter in the arms of the radiant Tia. Their brief respite ends when Morlock’s men seize them both, sending Eud to the dungeon while Tia faces the factory owner directly.
