After a violent storm wrecks their field-trip vessel, a handful of young women and one man wash ashore on an uncharted island. Isolated from the outside world, they begin to explore their surroundings while assessing their limited supplies and uncertain future. Before long the girls experience unsettling changes triggered by a strange virus, forcing the group to confront a grim biological imperative that only the man can help fulfill.
