A dedicated physician relocates across hospitals in search of a woman from his youth, at last encountering her again at St. Cattleya Hospital. Her distant manner leaves his long-held feelings unreturned, and troubling photographs soon reveal details of her past at St. Julianna Hospital. Shaken by what he learns, the doctor’s composure begins to fracture. In his distress he turns to a caring nurse from the obstetrics ward whose features echo those of his lost love, drawing her into his deepening turmoil.
