A renowned onmyouji named Abe Seimei is summoned to a remote village plagued by a string of unexplained murders. Suspecting demonic forces at work, he begins his investigation by examining the strange traces left at the scenes and consulting with wary locals. As subtle spiritual disturbances reveal themselves during his early inquiries, the onmyouji senses the presence of something far more elusive and threatening than ordinary suspicion.
