Stranded by a fierce blizzard, Naoto and Miyuki accept shelter at a remote Japanese inn run by the poised landlady Natsuyo. As night falls, the couple seeks comfort in each other’s arms, yet Naoto finds himself increasingly drawn to their enigmatic hostess. Around the hotel, the other marooned travelers experience similar restless longings, and subtle tensions begin to stir within the snowbound walls.
