After the traffic accident leaves Yukie facing an enormous debt, she agrees to a personal compromise with the young man involved, Taketo, in hopes of settling the matter quietly. Nogawa, seeking to expand his control, approaches the sincere older step-sister Rumi with compromising information that leaves her vulnerable. His schemes gradually draw in the curious younger step-sister Tomoko as well, setting the stage for the siblings to face an uncertain and challenging future together.
