Eris Violet of the Flames, the land’s strongest hero, suffers a rare defeat and is taken to a monster research facility for unsettling experiments. She escapes with her life, yet the ordeal leaves her body unusually reactive, undermining her focus and combat performance. Unable to continue her duties, she appeals to her superior Kiryuu for extended leave and accepts his distinctive conditions in return for the time she needs to recover.
